The types of waterproof jackets

1.Water resistant/showerproof jackets

Water resistant jacket is made from fabric with water repellent coating. The coating that prevents water penetrating the jacket can be Durable Water Repellency (DWR), or maybe treated with a PU coating. This type of jackets can withstand mild shower or splash water. There will be water beads and can be run off the fabric after fall water on the fabric. The disadvantage is the jacket are not very breathable. 

2.Fully waterproof jackets 

This type of waterproof jacket is made with a waterproof membrane and waterproof seams, which can totally keep body dry in the rain. It is worth stressing that the membrane is with very tiny pores that can let sweat escape. However, the pores cannot allow water droplets penetrate inside. The membrane makes more breathable.
